Despite the sounds, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, the Sucker Punch isn’t working in the Sly Cooper game.

Earlier this morning, rumors spread after the giant bomb Video by Jeff Grubb “Perfect dark and summer game mess update”, where Grubb speculated that the sucker punch Sly Cooper would work in the game, which would make Ghost of Tsushima 2 too long for release. Speculating on Sly, Grubb said, “That’s speculation, but it’s sure there’s smoke, but where there’s smoke there’s fire.”

Grubb’s comments and speculation later began making the rounds on Twitter, with some users referring to the information as fact. However, Bloomberg’s Jason Schrier It jumped on the rumor to dispel it.

‚ÄúThere is no truth in this, sorry to say. Sucker Punch is a one-project studio. The reason Ghost of Tsushima 2 isn’t out yet is because AAA video games take 5-7 years to make now. (Also, Sucker Punch is smaller than other AAA game developers)”, he said.

It remains to be seen if Sucker Punch will ever make another Sly Cooper game, but for now, the team is fully focused on the next Ghost of Tsushima game.

Thieves in Time was the last mainline Sly Cooper game released by Sanjura Games in 2013. Sanjura released a statement in 2014 that the studio was not developing a new game in the series, although the game had a secret ending that hinted at a future installment.
