Activision says it banned 27,000 Call of Duty accounts over the weekend of free multiplayer for Modern Warfare 3.

“(Team Ricochet) identified and banned 27,000 accounts over the weekend through upgraded detection systems” The The announcement will be read by Charlie Intel On Twitter.

“The team is making progress on new security updates and anticipates more ban waves to come.”

When those additional “ban waves” will arrive is currently unknown. However, expect more bands to come this week and beyond.

Along with free multiplayer from April 4-8, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone saw the start of Season 3 for release this year. With Season 3 comes many new maps, game modes, weapons and more for the latest game from Activision.

For Warzone, specifically, players revisited Rebirth Island. There is also a revival mode as long as one person in your party is alive.
