in A new post Today on Twitter/X, Laurion Studios confirmed the opening of a seventh studio in Warsaw.

Laurien plans to reveal more about Laurien Studios Warsaw, including job opportunities, at the Digital Dragons event starting today. The devs are very interested in adding new talent to the Warsaw studio.

Laurion Studios explains that now is the perfect time to grow the team with “two ambitious RPGs now starting development.”

Larian officially confirmed the start of work on two new games last April in a community post. However, the devs have consistently made it clear that they have no plans to develop new material for Baldur’s Gate.

Despite the enormous success of Baldur’s Gate 3, the devs confirmed during the GDC panel that they will not be working on DLC or a sequel.

This is sure to disappoint fans of the popular RPG. However, Hasbro announced in April that it was still interested in making another Baldur’s Gate game, even without Larian. In an interview, Hasbro’s Eugene Evans added, “We’re going to take our time and find the right partner.”

Laurien Studios Warsaw works on the original IP, and the new studio represents a major opportunity as the industry continues to face layoffs.

Developers big and small, like Mighty Kingdom, have recently laid off employees. Last month, GTA 6 publisher Take-Two announced that it would lay off 5% of its workforce and cancel the anticipated games.
