Black Ops 6 Nuketown was confirmed during the reveal

Despite being one of the most predictable things in the recent Call of Duty reveal, here’s the information players love to hear. Black Ops 6 will feature the latest iteration of Nuketown, following nearly every Black Ops title since the sub-series’ launch in 2010.

In a screenshot captured during a recent reveal, the multiplayer lobby in Black Ops 6 is captured, displaying a reference (almost on purpose) to Nuketown, a fan-favorite miniature map that’s been around for 15 years.

Nuketown has been iterated on several times over the years, each successive black ops title tweaked to fit its aesthetic. In Black Ops 6, things are expected to be no different, with the tiny, often edgy map modified to match the look and feel of this 1990s spy-thiller-based shooter.

We last saw Nuketown surface in 2020’s Black Ops Cold War.

In the image, we get a brief look at the menu UI in Black Ops 6, which reveals tabs dedicated to weapons, operators, battle pass, customization options and the in-game store. Call of Duty seems like the same rigid layout for years, but if it ain’t broke, it ain’t gotta be fixed, right?

It’s worth pointing out that this isn’t a screenshot captured in-game, but some sort of testing screen. It’s a static shot and not a real-world, dynamic lobby menu – parts of the screen are blurry, suggesting something sensitive is being covered up. It may not even be the final product.
