Call of Duty 2026 & 2027 Information Leaked, Claimed

On Twitter, two dataminers collaborated to share information regarding the 2026 and 2027 releases of Call of Duty. In a recently published post, it has been claimed that Call of Duty 2026 is in development under the name ‘Project Devilwood’ and is a game set in the Ghosts timeline and developed by Infinity Ward. Call of Duty 2027 was then said to be a Sledgehammer Games title and a follow-up to 2014’s Advanced Warfare.

Subject to change

These recently emerged details are yet to be confirmed, and like all Datamine content, the hints are subject to change – notably ‘Project Anvil’, the claimed advanced warfare follow-up won’t be delivered until 2027.

If this data is accurate, it means we won’t be getting Modern Warfare 4 until at least 2028. It’s no big secret that Modern Warfare 3, despite the game doing well commercially, hasn’t been a huge hit with the community. The game’s campaign was dramatically short, but it left a lot of loose ends that would surely lead to a follow-up title, so it’s likely to be revisited.

in Post on Twitter, VISCERAL and Vondyispog claim Ghosts and an Advanced Warfare game are in development as we speak. Call of Duty Ghosts was a 2013 near-future title, a ‘one and done’ game that many players wished they could go back to. Likewise, Advanced Warfare is a one-shot game with high-octane, fast-paced, exosuit-powered combat mechanics that many Call of Duty fans will want back.

Are you anxious for these games to make a comeback or will they be dead and buried?
