Counter-Strike 2 became Valve’s worst-rated game

Valve’s recent ‘update’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive seems to be grappling with a number of concerns the Counter-Strike community has had regarding its decade-long existence. In early September, Valve released Counter-Strike 2, which is considered to be the next generation of Counter-Strike, but fans from the most casual to the most elite levels are finding a lot to complain about.

On Steam, Counter-Strike 2 is now Valve’s worst-rated game. It includes all the historic reviews that CSGO has garnered over the years, most notably, Counter-Strike 2 ‘hijacked’ the CSGO store page on Steam after its global release.

People are not really happy

Of all the Valve games, from Left 4 Dead to Portal, none currently have worse reviews than Counter-Strike 2. On Steam, the most recent review marker reads ‘Mixed’, and in total, nearly one million reviews have been deemed negative.

From hitbox issues to concerns with the servers’ ‘sub tick’ structure and an overall stripped-down platform to more cheaters than ever before, there’s been plenty of things to annoy players of late.

Recently, a professional player, Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostiliev, went on record slamming CS2, insisting that players should not play the game for months thanks to the teething problems it faces.

Are you having problems with CS2 or are you completely happy with the game?
