Do we know the Oblivion Remaster release date?

May 29, 2024 by No Comments

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion played a huge role in my childhood. It was one of my first real open-world RPG experiences and I lost myself for a long time. I explored every inch of Cyrodiil in favor of Anvil. Despite my undying love for the RPG, I can admit that it is showing its age. We could use more information about the Oblivion Remaster release date, so here’s what we know right now!

Will Oblivion Get a Remaster?

Thanks to FTC leaks, specifically a hint from ZeniMax management, we know Bethesda was working on an Oblivion remaster at one point. The open-world RPG project was said to launch in fiscal year 22, i.e. between July 2021 and June 2022, but that didn’t happen. Many projects have received significant delays after the pandemic and the tumultuous games industry.

Furthermore, Phil Spencer says that you can’t always trust these leaks as projects are constantly shifting and changing in game development. He’s trying to cast a shadow of doubt on the whole leak, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen this year or next!

When is the Oblivion Remaster release date?

Unfortunately, we don’t have an official Oblivion Remaster release date yet. There’s very little information surrounding the project, including whether or not it’s still happening. Unlike the Fallout franchise, the wait until The Elder Scrolls VI launches from this point is pretty short, although that title doesn’t even have an official release date.

The Elder Scrolls IV Remaster: Oblivion makes a lot of sense. It’s a fan favorite RPG, and it helps bridge the gap between The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls VI.
