in A new post Today at X, the official Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot account revealed that the game has now sold over 8 million copies.

The team thanked the players for their contribution in reaching the milestone. However, they also teased, “We hope you’ll look forward to what’s to come next.” The devs haven’t confirmed any concrete details about this, but it could be a sign of future DLC.

The most recent DLC for the game is Goku’s Next Journey, which was released in February 2024. It expands beyond Kakarot’s main story by focusing on material from the anime.

CyberConnect2’s hit action RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot originally launched in 2020 to solid reviews. It still holds a user score of 8.1 on Metacritic, as well as “very positive” reviews on Steam four years after launch.

Kakarot recently joined Steam in Japan and the game is currently on sale on Steam until July 11, 2024.

Developments could potentially reveal the future of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The event is coming up in September 2024 and this year’s schedule and theme were confirmed last February.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball fans can also look forward to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The anticipated fighting game now has a release date of October 11, 2024. It will also be available as a special edition in physical form.
