May 26, 2024 by No Comments

Neil Druckmann was recently targeted in the media for a quote he recorded in an interview with Sony. According to the statement, he boldly claims that his next project ‘could redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’. This led to dissent on social platforms, with many believing Druckmann was too big for his britches and trying to make himself look like a gaming god, capable of changing the paradigm with a single release.

However, the man recently appeared on Twitter (X) with a copy of the transcript of the interview, setting the story straight and concluding that he was effectively misquoted due to ‘edits of his rambling answers’.

The truth will out

In his post on Twitter, Neil Druckmann revealed that he had been misquoted by Sony, but his answer to a particular question was long and broke off into a few tangents here and there. He spoke boldly about his next game, insisting that ‘our (his) bosses would be too mad to talk about it’ and saying that he’s ‘excited to see how the world reacts to the amazing moving experience’. ‘ Naughty Dog is creating, but he doesn’t use the words ‘redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’.

The transcript Druckmann revealed on Twitter is juicy. The developing title is ‘fresh’ for Naughty Dog and he says he is ‘extremely excited’ for the project. Never. This is significant because the passion poured into both The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II was unparalleled, producing a multi-award-winning series that has become one of the most widely loved live-action adaptations. did

Druckmann, close to Sonny’s quote:

I think it opens the eyes of a bunch of people who aren’t familiar with the experience of being in games … even people outside of gaming are looking to us to see what we’re going to put out next.

It’s unknown what Naughty Dog is currently cooking up, but recently, the team canceled a planned multiplayer project set in the heart of The Last of Us universe.
