Fallout’s biggest competitor is 89% off on Steam

If you enjoyed the Fallout show and are hungry for more post-apocalyptic action, there’s a pretty doozy deal waiting for you on Steam. Right now, you can boot into Steam’s digital storefront and secure every Metro game and DLC stack at a whopping 89% off. Metro is widely considered the biggest competitor to the Fallout franchise, featuring many similar elements in an almost identical world destroyed by a nuclear apocalypse.

Down on the metro

Metro (as a game series) first appeared in 2010, by which time the Fallout series had been on the market for 13 years. Based on the book of the same name, Metro 2033 introduces players to a grim, decaying Russian world flattened by nuclear annihilation, with survivors forced to eke out a living in dank, haunted metro tunnels and stations. It’s a more horror-focused title than Fallout, and until its most recent release, it was almost entirely linear.

On Steam, Apocalypse fans can Secure the bottom bundle £8.06 (or your local equivalent):

  • Metro Exodus
  • Metro Exodus Expansion Pass
  • Metro Last Light: Redux
  • Metro 2033: Redux

The ‘Redux’ editions of the aforementioned games are effectively remastered copies of the original titles. Metro Exodus is the latest and greatest game in the series, taking players and planting them in a very large title that has a series of open-world environments to explore. It’s an ambitious title with an amazing story and multiple endings, and it feels more like Fallout than any other game in the series.

At 89% off, you’d have to be crazy about radiation not to pick up this deal.
