In a new report via IGNFans learned more about the characters, locations, dinosaurs and release window for Jurassic Park: Survival.

The report includes details from an internal Q&A. It includes some compelling new information from Universal Products & Experiences’ John Melchior and Saber Interactive’s Oliver Hollis-Leak.

Saber Interactive first announced Jurassic Park: Survival at The Game Awards 2023 with a polished reveal trailer. However, the trailer has a vague ending with no release date or window. According to a new report from IGN, Melchior and Hollis-Leick confirmed that “the game won’t be out in 2024.”

Today’s report also claims that Jurassic Park: Survival will feature new locations that “were not part of the tour or were cut off by the storm.”

Hollis-Leak also stated that there will be “new characters”, suggesting that there will be others besides the protagonist. They hinted that there might be new dinosaurs that didn’t appear in the original film, but nothing was confirmed.

Hollis-Leake revealed that players will have to “use caution and planning” to explore the island’s different terrains. Sometimes, they “need to move very carefully through the environment to avoid the attention of certain predators.”

This suggests that dinosaurs may have had unique behaviour, stealth and strategic decision-making.

Jurassic Park: Survival is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
