Madden 25 Cover Athlete Revealed

June 11, 2024 by No Comments

EA Sports has revealed the cover athlete for Madden 25, not to be confused with Madden 25 (2014), which came out 10 years ago.

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey takes the cover this year. This is the first time a player from the 49ers has been the stand-alone cover athlete for Madden. This is the second time, however, that a 49ers player has appeared on the cover of Madden 95, with defensive lineman Carl Wilson on the cover. But he’s not the focal point of the cover, with John Madden as the main character.

Drafted eighth overall in 2017, McCaffrey spent five and a half seasons with the Carolina Panthers before being traded to San Francisco. In his seven seasons in the NFL, McCaffrey put up 6185 rushing yards and 52 touchdowns along with 4320 receiving yards and 29 receiving touchdowns. In 2023 alone he had 2023 total yards and 21 total touchdowns.

Madden 25 releases on August 16 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game’s full feature reveal is set for Thursday, June 13.
