The main points of the story

  • Forza Motorsport has seemingly suffered from a lot of internal visual ratings since its reveal trailer came out. A new comparison video by EIAnalistaDeBits shows the differences.
  • The contrasts range from the change in lighting, density and processing of the vegetation, vehicle damage, reflections, environmental effects of ray tracing and much more.
  • The visuals are still some of the best in the racing genre, but have failed to live up to the developers’ marketing in the past. Players criticized Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft for the downloads.

Forza Motorsport has built on positive reviews but has also seen its fair share of criticism. While the game looks pretty mesmerizing compared to most racing titles in the industry, it seems to have suffered a noticeable visual drop since the misleading reveal trailer came out. The YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits has released a new video that compares the value with the reveal trailer, showing many obvious but varied downloads.

The contrasts range from the change in brightness, the density and processing of the vegetation, reflections and much more. For example, the reflections are not as detailed as those in the trailer. The downgrade leaves a lot to be desired, especially now that it’s changed the way Lightning is applied to Forza Motorsport overnight. The unveiling video also included an amusement park with beautiful lights, which was discreetly replaced by some tents.

Moreover, some dents and vehicle damage cannot be seen in the reveal trailer in the released version of Forza Motorsport. Most of the ray tracing features revealed in the trailer are still included in the game, but a downgrade affected this feature as well. Specific ray tracing environment effects are no longer present in the final version of the title.

The Forza Motorsport video delves into every nook and cranny to explore the changes secretly made to the game throughout development. Some downgrades seem to make a huge difference, while others are barely noticeable. The visuals still look attractive but are unrecognizable from what was previously released. Regardless, the degradation in graphics has caused many players to criticize Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft.

Unfortunately, the entry suffered a lot of backlash for several other reasons. Forza Motorsport apparently features a half-finished and unoptimized live service model, causing plenty of frustration in the community. The new live service model is also a controversial move for the franchise. Additionally, the RPG-style progression system alongside the seemingly repetitive career mode hasn’t proven to be everyone’s cup of tea.

Forza Motorsport will be released on October 10, 2023, while owners of the premium edition can already play for a few days. We can expect to play it on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC as it skips the last generation.
