Windows Central’s Jez Corden notes that more Xbox first-party titles are currently in development for the PlayStation.

According to a A new report By Jez Corden More Microsoft-owned games (Xbox first-party games) are in development for the PlayStation codenamed “Latitude”. While Corden didn’t detail exactly what these games would be, he did say that “they’re the obvious games you’d expect the most.”

The report says the new shift in strategy revolves around Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood’s mandate to boost margins in every department, and the company is taking a “no red line” approach to what kind of game changers it can make.

Corden mentioned that a game called Halo. While this isn’t an official report on the series moving to PlayStation, he notes that it would make sense after the success of the platform’s Sea of ‚Äč‚ÄčThieves.

In February 2024, Xbox released a ‘business update’ to clarify its strategy change, which included releasing four games on rival platforms. Those releases were incredibly successful, and with the current generation of Xbox hardware lagging far behind the competition, it’s not hard to see why Xbox would want to appeal to this audience.

For now, Microsoft is still planning to release new Xbox hardware. A new white Xbox Series X console has been leaked as the company works on a handheld alongside its next-gen Xbox system.
