Mortal Kombat 1’s Omni-Man reveal is too accurate

The main points of the story

  • Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest iteration in the long-running Mortal Kombat franchise, serving as a reboot of the series, which has actually happened with the IP before.
  • The combat-based title features a recreation of the in-game universe, with Liu Kang, following the events of Mortal Kombat 11, at the forefront of the newly created kingdom.
  • Since the game launched last month, the developers are still introducing new characters to Mortal Kombat 1, with Omni-Man being the latest in line.

Well-regarded developer NetherRealm seems to have done a number on Nolan Grayson – the deuteragonist of the popular Invincible animated TV series – for Mortal Kombat 1. Taking to YouTube to reveal the official reveal, Omni-Man’s first look and gameplay was revealed, and boy oh boy, does Nolan mention Amazing resemblance to his personality and some of his difficult actions on the show?

Honestly, I was quite worried when the rumors surrounding the inclusion of Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1 started to spread about how the developers would design him for the game. Looking at Jean-Claude Van Damme, things were not looking as good as they are. Following its reveal, it didn’t take long for fans to cry foul at the developers for getting Van Damme’s face model wrong.

However, when you look at what we have at our disposal right now, there’s nothing to complain about with Omni-Man in the equation. Commenting on his official reveal, one fan says, “The train scene, the spine grab, the headbutt x-ray and the skull crusher finish. The care they put into it, they outdid themselves 10/10.”

Another person praised the attention to detail shown by NetherRealm, commenting, “ I am Love that both his kills and his killer move are direct references to some of the show’s best moments. I’m so glad they used the train.” That’s pretty much what got me excited as well, especially after learning this JK Simmons himself will voice Nolan Grayson in Mortal Kombat 1.

As for the video, Omni-Man will be available to play sometime in November as part of the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1, which also includes other high-level characters, including Peacemaker, Homelander, Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda. Feel free to check out the DLC on steam, PlayStation Storeand XBoxIf you decide to purchase it for $39.99 on your desired platform.

Offers mortal kombat 1 kombat packs

I loved the first season of Invincible, mostly because of the menacing character of Omni-Man, and what he brought to the show as a whole. Watching the one-minute reveal trailer, I was gently reminded of Nolan’s ill-advised brutality over and over again, and the prospect of him being a power player in Mortal Kombat 1 certainly seems on the cards.

For those who missed it, it all started in May of this year when a listing for the game on Amazon leaked online, spilling the beans on a Mortal Kombat 1 DLC pack that turned out to be real, fast forward to now. At the time, characters like Omni-Man, Homelander and DC’s Peacemaker were rumored to be part of the next Mortal Kombat game, and guess what? All this turned out to be true.

Then, a TikTok post by Vought International Studios, a fictional company from the world of boys that somehow managed to seep into real life, responded to a fan, seemingly endorsing Homelander for Mortal Kombat 1. Think of the matchup between the latter and Omni-Man. To be fair, this round should turn out pretty ugly for Homelander, if This video It’s something to go by.
