in A new post On Twitter/X, Sean Murray teased a new Adrift Expedition for No Man’s Sky, including various details and a gameplay trailer.

Murray explains in a Post by XboxThis ensures that Adrift is “free for existing players” on all platforms.

Adrift features a unique Forsaken Galaxy, an alternate universe where players feel alone. There are no traditional “space stations, trading posts and alien traders”.

Exclusive rewards for Adrift include a “Gnawing Scuttler Companion, Starship Stealth Paint Supply, Ghost Battleship, and Exclusive Iron Vulture Starship.”

The new trailer and Murray’s post don’t confirm an exact release date and time. However, it will be available “later this week”, leaving it on May 30 or May 31, 2024. Furthermore, the Xbox post revealed that Adrift “will run for approximately seven weeks”.

Recent No Man’s Sky additions include the Orbital update and the massive Omega update. Omega also gave players a free trial, welcomed new players, and added tons of new content. Adrift cleverly strips away the familiar while continuing to offer players something truly fresh.

Last February, Murray also posted a cryptic tease that suggested No Man’s Sky could get at least four updates.

This leads to the developer’s next project, Light No Fire. Hello Games announced Light No Fire at The Game Awards 2023 and it turned out to be one of the most anticipated reveals from the event.
