Phasmophobia’s console release will be delayed until an undisclosed date

Kinetic Games has announced that the console release of Phasmophobia has been delayed until an unannounced date.

The news comes via the developer’s Developer Update blog, which notes that the team needed to rework the Maple Lodge campsite with a completely new layout, a time-consuming process.

The Blog “While we hope to bring you a special launch in conjunction with the Halloween event, the complexity of our current challenges means we need more time. We will keep you updated on our progress and provide a revised release date as soon as we have more information to share. We are working diligently to minimize the impact of this delay and We express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.

Phasmophobia was scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on September 18, 2023, but was previously delayed from its original release date to October.

The game’s Halloween event, scheduled for release on October 26, 2023, was not affected by the console delay.

Although the game is in early access, it has received “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam, with nearly 500,000 reviews.
