PlayStation Helldivers 2 confirms that ‘PSN Update’ will not happen

After days of wildfire negativity against Helldivers 2, PlayStation has confirmed that the much talked about ‘account linking’ change for the game will not be happening on PC. Because of the land of course TodayThe new update requires PC players to create and link a PSN account to continue playing Helldivers 2. One of the biggest concerns is that countless countries are not part of the PlayStation Network, preventing them from playing Helldivers 2. The update failed.


‘We’re still learning’

In a short statement posted on Twitter, PlayStation representatives confirmed:

Helldivers fans — we hear your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which requires linking a Steam and PlayStation Network account for new players and starting May 30 for existing players, is not moving forward.

We’re still learning what’s best for PC players And your feedback is invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you posted on future plans.

Unfortunately, Helldivers 2 suffered forever with over 100,000 negative reviews on Steam. The most recent review rating was ‘overwhelmingly negative’, and despite the game’s rampant success since its release in February, overall sentiment for the game has hit an all-time low.
