PlayStation Trophies & Overlay Coming to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC

in A new blog Today, PlayStation revealed that the PC port of the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will include both trophies and a new overlay.

The new version of the game “shares the same trophy set as the game on PlayStation 5 consoles,” the blog explains. In fact, as long as players connect their PS5 PlayStation Network account “the same trophies will be unlocked in the PC version.”

Completionists and PC enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the latest opportunity to earn PlayStation Trophies, as well as Steam or EGS achievements.

Windows PC users will also get a chance to try out the new PlayStation overlay on the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut port. This overlay displays your friends list, trophies, settings and profile.

The feature can be accessed directly in-game or even with keyboard shortcuts for MNK players. But it is optional for single player gaming or co-op multiplayer “Legends” mode.

So, the PlayStation overlay doesn’t automatically superimpose on the traditional PC experience. This convenient and comfortable approach should please longtime fans.

In addition to the PlayStation features, Nixxes Software also confirmed the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut PC specs today. The game can run at just 720p at 30 FPS with 8 GB of memory. But it also runs in 4K at 60 FPS.

It’s clear that the devs and PlayStation have a lot invested in this new port. It introduces major new features that could become regular additions to future PC titles.

It would be a shame not to mention PlayStation Trophies alongside the PC specs of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. But PlayStation staples like these really benefit from the full experience on PC.
