The updated store page for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 now claims that the game takes up more than 300 GB of storage space on the Xbox Series X/S, however, that no longer appears to be the case.

officer CODUpdates The X account posted an explanatory tweet today. The update states that the “estimated file size” for Black Ops 6 pre-order pages “does not represent the download size or disk footprint for Black Ops 6” (sigh of relief).

Additionally, the previously shown install size includes Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone and all related content packs, including all localized languages, and is not representative of a typical player install experience”. – True.

Fortunately, players can download Black Ops 6 without downloading any other game or language packs. Also, the exact file size for the game will be revealed closer to the release date. Players are definitely happy about this clarification as 300GB seems like a nightmare to play a game.

Moreover, a recent report claims that Treyarch didn’t know about Black Ops 6 coming to Game Pass until the last moment. Additionally, according to a recent leak, the first beta for the game will be hosted between August 28 – September 3.
