Rocket League ended item trading in December

Psyonix announced one of the most disturbing decisions in recent memory. As of December, the Rocket League ended trading merchandise between players.

In the post Game websitePsyonix said it is removing the ability to trade items after seven years to “align with Epic’s overall approach.”

“We’re making this change to align with Epic’s overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items cannot be traded, transferred, or sold.” They said. “This opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time, supporting cross-game ownership.”

The last day players can trade items with each other is December 5. That’s the day before Season 14 starts.

As for what players can do with their items, the company says they can only trade them for rare items.

“The trade-in system for core items, tournament items, and blueprints allows players to continue trading in eligible duplicate or unnecessary items to receive a high rarity random new item” They said.

Any transactions you make before December 5th will be final. Also, any third parties that claim to allow trades or sales after that time are “fraudulent,” Cynics said.
