In a new Post on SteamEvil Empire has announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia will delay its Early Access release date until later this month.

The original EA release date was set for May 14, 2024. With the delay seemingly minimal, Evil Empire has been able to confirm that it will announce a new release date on Monday, May 13.

Today’s Steam post takes a lighter tone, explaining that “everyone and their mum” is currently playing Hades 2.

Hades 2 entered Early Access on May 6th to enormous success. It currently has “overwhelmingly positive” ratings on Steam. And Evil Empire claims Hades 2 is similar to its new Prince of Persia game.

The devs add that the delay will allow them to “improve the game, add more cool stuff, and remove some stubborn bugs.” Evil Empire also included an apology for the delay, which didn’t last long.

Insider Gaming exclusively revealed The Rogue Prince of Persia last month without a release date. Evil Empire officially announced the game with a new trailer during the Triple-Eye Initiative Showcase.

Rogue Prince of Persia is an indie spin on the classic IP, and centers on saving Persia from the Hun invasion.

Prince of Persia fans are also looking forward to the Sands of Time remake, with Insider Gaming recently getting exclusive details about it.
