Gaming on PC opens up a world of new possibilities, allowing players to not only change and adapt the game but also how they play it. Elden Ring, a highly acclaimed action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware, is one of the best examples of players using alt controllers to play the game, where people beat bloodthirsty bosses with a dance pad, brain waves, Morse code and much more. More. Interestingly, a player recently beat the final boss of Shadow of the Earthtree with just a saxophone.

If you’ve been living under a rock, you might have missed that some players have had a terrible time with Shadow of the Earthtree, thanks to its incredibly challenging gameplay. This achievement is all the more commendable as defeating the final boss of the Elden Ring expansion is no easy feat.

The person who has achieved this feat is Dr. Doot, a player known for his unique approach to gaming challenges and his love for the saxophone. He’s already done Elden’s no-hit run in the ring With the same device.

If you watch the video embedded above, Dr. Doot’s weapon of choice is an attacking shield, specifically the Carrion Thrusting Shield. You can see how Dut uses a bunch of notes on the saxophone until he finally defeats Radon’s every attack and it’s a sight to behold.

Doot also provided some data on the shield used to defeat the final boss of Shadow of the Earthtree. Doot scaled the Carrion Thrusting Shield’s STR stat by making it Heavy and used Deflect Tear along with the Guard Counter Boost Talisman to make the weapon an “absolute powerhouse of a tank”.

Shadow of the Earthtree opened on Friday, June 21, and sold 5 million copies in the first three days.
