Starfield gets an FOV slider in the latest update

The latest Starfield update from Bethesda adds the much-requested FOV slider to the game.

New Starfield update1.7.36 also added the following changes:


  • FOV: Sliders are now available in Settings that allow players using first-person or third-person to adjust their FOV.

Performance and stability

  • (PC only) Improved stability for Intel Arc GPUs.
  • Various additional stability and performance improvements.


  • Echoes of the Past: Fixed an issue where tunneling creatures could choose a position that would block progress.

The latest updates come after a massive update in late September that fixed issues including various performance issues for players. According to documents leaked as part of a major Xbox leak last month, Bethesda estimates that Starfield will generate around $1 billion in revenue over its lifetime.

The game has been a huge success since its release and has received “generally favorable” reviews according to review aggregator Metacritic and has already been nominated for several awards. The Golden Joystick Awards nominated Starfield for Best Visual Design, Best Audio and Xbox Game of the Year.
