The launch and performance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League brought in $200 million for Warner Bros. It was revealed at that time The company’s Q1 earnings report.

In its report, Warner Bros. said the game’s release was “disappointing” and that it “generated significantly less revenue.”

ā€œStarting with Studios, the $400 million year-over-year decline in Q1 was primarily due to the much tougher competition we faced in games versus the success of Hogwarts Legacy in the first quarter, which released a disappointing Suicide Squad. We weakened last quarter, which led to a $200 million impact to EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in the first quarter,ā€ CFO Gunnar Weidenfels said in an investor call after the report was published.

The launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League saw several delays and plenty of mixed reviews from players before the game’s full launch. It had to be pulled from stores after its early access release due to a bug that caused the game to autocomplete.

The game holds a critic rating of 60 (mixed) as of writing Metacritic. The user rating on the platform is pretty low at just 3.5 out of 10.
