The Intercept Games team will be fired in a month

Following Take-Two Interactive’s cost-cutting measures, the company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnik, denied that Intercept Games – the developer behind Kerbal Space Program 2 – had closed. However, he declined to comment on Take-Two Interactive will be Shut down Intercept Games at other studios.

Now, posts have surfaced on social media claiming that the team at Intercept Games will be made redundant by June 28, 2024. weeks ago, Bloomberg obtained the documentation Take-Two shows Roll7 proposing to close the studio – but these notes make no mention of Intercept.

In 2020, Take-Two Interactive launched Intercept Games in Seattle, Washington. The team was responsible for envisioning the development of Kerbal Space Program 2, which review-bombed on Steam following news of the studio’s closure. It has a recent review rating with many comments suggesting the team was fired by Take-Two Interactive.

It is the latest in a long line of shutdowns in the industry that has led to the layoff of nearly 20,000 workers since early 2023.
