Following Microsoft’s move to go independent after acquiring Activision Blizzard, Toys for Bob has announced a deal with Xbox to publish its next game.

Taking to Twitter, Toys for Bob announced, “We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with @Xbox to publish our next new game. We’re still very early in development, so you may not hear from us quite a bit – but know that we’re working hard on an experience we’re very inspired by! Can’t wait to share more. “

The tweet was followed by a purple heart emoji, which could be a subtle nod to Spyro the Dragon, the next game the developers are rumored to be working on.

In March 2024, Toys for Bob was rumored to have inked a deal that would see the newly independent studio make its first game for the Xbox. Matt Booty made the announcement, however, he did not share what the studio’s next game would be.

As Toys for Bob has announced, its next game is still in development, so it won’t be revealed or released.
