Do you feel like you’ve mastered the perils of purgatory? Okay fine, of Walheim New biome plans to raise the temperature on you. Those who are powerful enough to claim that they can now lay siege to the Ashlands and its terrible lord at the cost of force. New enemies, weapons, crafting recipes and resources await those brave enough to enter. “After conquering the Mistlands and learning how to cast spells, you must now fight tooth and nail to gain a foothold in the Ashlands. Treacherous cliffs and slippery dangers await in the boiling waters that only the strongest ships can withstand. can be navigated, and even reaching new biomes will be a challenge.”

The Ashlands biome is relentless and defines what difficulty means in Wilhelm. While a large portion of the enemy forces are made up of reanimated dead known as Chard, an even more deadly enemy awaits. In addition to Fallen Valkyries and Morgans, the new biome is full of other enemies such as a new type of neck known as Asksvin or winged Vultures that lie in wait for an ambush. Don’t worry that a bunch of new enemies calls for a plethora of new weapons to combat the enemies. New weapons, such as the Slayer greatsword, Splitnir spear and Ripper crossbow can be further enhanced by upgrading.

“We didn’t want to release just another biome, but with fire instead of fog,” said Walheim producer Andreas Thomassen. “Lands like this feel like a struggle, and players should expect a challenge. Every inch of territory you claim has to be earned, and every outpost before you step into the deep.” We’re entering endgame territory here, and players need to be prepared for what’s to come in the Deep North.
