As first noted by Twitter/X user @Tyler_McVValve Corporation has now filed for trademark deadlock by the USPTO.

According to the USPTO status page, Valve only filed for the Deadlock trademark on May 30, 2024. It’s now live and pending, waiting for testing, which will finally take another step forward for the game.

This may give interested fans a better idea of the potential release window. The release of Deadlock 2025 is supported by Insider Gaming.

All the leaked footage online may also indicate the current state of Deadlock’s development. More than 100 leaks have been mounting in recent weeks.

Insider Gaming also reported on new rumors and gave exclusive details on all the characters coming to Deadlock. Characters include magicians, robots, creatures, humans and more. There are also comparisons to the DOTA gameplay loop.

Leaks suggest that Deadlock will be a hero-oriented, third-person shooter featuring 6v6 matches. It was formerly known as Neon Prime. Fortunately, more news following the trademark may be coming soon.

It makes sense for Valve to reveal more after most of the game was recently leaked online. Over the past week, a slew of brand new gameplay videos have been revealed.

At this time, Valve has not officially announced anything about Deadlock or its trademark.
