Released by Ubisoft This is the first patch update for the free-to-play shooter XDefiant. The patch is being billed as “Pre Season Patch 1” and fixes some of the in-game issues since its launch on May 21.

Some updates include netcode improvements and spawning issues in the practice zone. You can see the full patch notes below.

Game Modes

  • Sometimes players loading into the practice zone spawn in an off-world, hellish scene, and now they (probably) don’t.

  • Fixed an issue where if the player died during the device deployment animation, their next deployed device would fall at their feet instead of being thrown as intended.

  • Problem is you want to get hitmarkers when an enemy kills you, but their health bar is still fully visible to you? Health bar display is incorrect – you have damaged them. Should be resolved now.

  • Fixed an issue where the end of match UI text was displayed in wrong orientation in Arabic.

  • We’ve turned the practice zone back on, but weird things still happen.
  • Fixed an issue causing low framerates with some AMD GPUs.
