XDefiant’s first Double XP Weekend is now live

May 24, 2024 by No Comments

To celebrate the successful launch of XDefiant, Ubisoft released Double XP over the weekend – and it’s live now. From today until May 28, players can jump into the free-to-play, multi-platform first-person shooter and rack up twice as much weapon XP as usual. That means you’ll unlock the most important guns and their game-changing additions much faster.

It was recently revealed that within just two hours of going live, XDefiant had amassed over one million players – an impressive result for a game that has been delayed several times over the past few months.

Double time

Ubisoft’s XDefiant was supposed to be released in late summer 2023, but it never materialized due to technical and regulatory issues. It will be pushed back a few more times before hitting the open market on May 21, launching to positive reception and massive overnight growth. It topped the streaming charts and became the talk of the town with players coming from far and wide to experience this relatively unique shooter.

Now, those players can benefit from double XP on weapons:

I’ve spent some time on the XDefiant and I’m very happy with what’s on offer. It looks great on the surface, runs well, and the gunplay and movement mechanics are top-notch. As the game is based on the ‘Factions’ operating model, there are plenty of characters to control – but the twist here is that Factions is based on a line-up of Ubisoft games like Splinter Cell, The Division and more. Far cry.

Are you going to take advantage of the double XP weekend in XDefiant?
